41-year-old Robert William Owens was arrested Sunday (May 29) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and misdemeanor failure to appear on a felony. Owens was arrested shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday at an address on Burkemont Avenue in Morganton. He was placed in jail under $60,000 secured bond. A District Court date is set for June 13.
