38-year-old Richard Ashley Rich was arrested Monday (December 21) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of larceny of a motor vehicle and failure to appear on a felony. Rich was arrested just before 2 p.m. Monday and placed in jail in Morganton under $13,500 secured bond. Rich has a District Court date Wednesday (December 23) on previously filed charges. A Superior Court date is set for February 1 on the vehicle theft count.
