Maiden Woman Wins $100K Prize in N.C.E.L.

Laura Bolch of Maiden won a $100,000 lottery prize in the North Carolina Education Lottery Saturday (April 6). Bolch, a restaurant manager, bought her Black Titanium $30 scratch-off ticket from the Hop-In store on Island Ford Road in Maiden.

Ms. Bolch arrived at lottery headquarters on April 11 to claim her prize. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she home $71,509. Ms. Bolch said she plans to use her winnings to pay off her car loan.
