42-year-old Wendy Elizabeth Kavanagh of Police Range Drive in Maiden was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers yesterday (September 6) on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. Kavanagh is wanted on a “dangerous drugs” charge by the Sheriff’s Office in Carroll County, Virginia.

Following her arrest, Kavanagh was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $7,500, secured. She remained in jail as of this afternoon. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton.
