33-year-old Austin Sinclair Anthony of Prison Camp Road in Maiden was arrested Wednesday (May 4) by Newton Police Officers. They charged the suspect with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Probation & Parole also charged Anthony with felony probation violation. The suspect was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $8,000 bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today (May 5), a Superior Court date is set for May 9.
