58-year-old Tommy Gene Rudisill of East Maiden Road in Maiden was arrested Wednesday (September 30) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny, hit and run, leaving the scene with property damage, reckless driving with wanton disregard, driving while impaired, driving while license revoked, driving left of center, and failure to wear a seat belt. The charges are from Catawba and Lincoln Counties.

According to court records, on September 27, Rudisill allegedly stole a female victim’s 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and Android smartphone. Following the arrest, Rudisill was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $5,000 bond. District Court dates were scheduled for October 22 in Catawba County and October 23 in Lincoln County.
