50-year-old Johnny Gaither Kaylor of Withers Road in Maiden was arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detectives Friday (December 1) on felony counts of breaking & entering, larceny after breaking & entering, and possession of stolen property (two counts).
He was arrested in connection with a break-in and larceny at the Aptar Company on Finger Mill Road in Maiden. The incident occurred on November 8 when a storage container was broken into. Wiring and electrical receptacles were stolen with an estimated value of $3,500.
Video evidence from the scene, along with other information gathered during the investigation, led to the identification of a work truck that entered the property. The truck belonged to Johnny Gaither Kaylor. The investigation revealed that additional stolen property belonging to the Aptar Company was on Kaylor’s property.
On December 1, a search warrant was executed at Kaylor’s residence. During the search, a large amount of industrial property was located and identified as the property that had been stolen from Aptar over what was described as a long period of time.
Kaylor was taken into custody and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $17,500 secured bond. He’ll appear in District Court on December 21.
