The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Golf Team moved up two spots to finish in 8th place at the Flagler Fall Slam. The event was the Bears final event of the fall portion of the schedule.
Eve Neild lead the Bears on Tuesday and in the two day event as she shot a 72 in the final round to improve three shots from Monday’s opening round. Neild finished in a tie for 5th place with a +3 overall after she fired the 4th best round of the day.
Neild was not the only one to improve from Monday, as freshman Charlotte Colley shot a 81 yesterday and improved with a 76 on Tuesday to finish in 33rd place. Marta Escudero improved three shots for a 78 in the final round to finish five spots behind Colley.
Katie Sibley finished 46th and Jaya Wilkinson finished in 53rd in the 78 player field as the Bears overall shot a 622 for the event for the 8th place finish.
As mentioned, this will conclude the fall schedule as the Bears will tee off the Spring session on February 11th.
