The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Golf team opened the 2023-24 season with an 8th place finish at the Meredith Insurance Fall Kickoff in Greenwood, S.C. The Bears shot a 319 as a team on the final day for a total of 932 over the three rounds. LR tied USC Beaufort for eighth place. Anderson took home the team title with a 19-shot win over second place Lee.

On day three, Marta Cervero lead the Bears with a 77 to finish in 29th place as Jaya Wilkinson also shot under 80 with a 79 to finished in 40th place. All three rounds from Cervero were under 80 in the opening tournament of the season.

Charlotte Colley was in 8th place overall after day one but an 83 slipped the freshman to 26th place for the tournament but did have the best overall finish for the Bears in her first collegiate tournament. Colley, Wilkinson and Eve Neild (T44) are all freshman in their first tournament of the season.

The Bears will head to McCormick, S.C. for the Savannah Lakes Ladies Fall Invite starting on Saturday September 23th. The Bears finished 4th in the 16-team event last season.
