Sean Finan shot a 69 on Tuesday in round 3 to finish one shot off the lead as the Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Golf Team opened their 2023-24 season with an 8th place finish at the Bearcat Fall Invitational.

The Bears had the best finish among SAC teams as LR finished right ahead of Lincoln Memorial and Wingate. North Georgia took home the team title as the Bears finished 24 shots off the lead.

After Finan’s runner-up finish, Holt Allison was second for the Bears in 42nd place as the junior shot a 74 on the final day.

After shooting back to back 75s on Monday, Sam Mace shot a 70 to move up to 49th place.

Carson Witherspoon finished 68th as Witherspoon could not capitalize on his 71 in round two as Witherspoon finished with a 79 in round three. Jake Moore after his 73 and 80 on Monday, ended up with a 75 on Tuesday to finish in 82nd place.

The Bears will be back in action in St. Augustine, Florida on Saturday September 23rd in the Jay Jennison Cup.
