30-year-old Jennifer Renee Thompson of Fairground Road in Lincolnton was arrested Wednesday (August 23) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony probation violation. Thompson is on probation as a result of a conviction on July 1, 2022 in Catawba County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance. She received a prison term of five months to one year, three months along with probation and a suspended sentence.

Following Wednesday’s arrest, Thompson was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $2,500 bond. She remained in jail as of earlier today (August 24). A Superior Court date is set for September 5.
