Lincolnton Man Faces Multiple Felony Drug Charges
50-year-old Chad Christopher Caldwell of Buffalo Shoals Road in Lincolnton has been arrested by Lincoln County Narcotics Investigators on a number of charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine, three felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, & deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, & deliver a schedule VI controlled substance, possession with the intent to sell & deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a stolen firearm.
He was arrested yesterday (March 8) after Narcotics Officers executed a search warrant at an outbuilding on Buffalo Shoals Road. The warrant was served following a lengthy investigation in which Officers utilized surveillance techniques and undercover purchases of several different types of narcotics. During the search, Investigators seized 53 grams of methamphetamine, nine grams of fentanyl, five grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 108 grams of marijuana, and a firearm that had been reported stolen from Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Caldwell was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $460,000 secured bond. He was scheduled to make a first appearance in District Court today.
