HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) – A Lincoln County man is facing multiple charges, including fleeing from police, following his arrest by the Hickory Police Department. The charges are from Burke County.

According to arrest records, 33-year-old Garan Colby Wilburn of Pete’s Road in Lincolnton was arrested Monday (August 3) and charged with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon.

Wilburn also faces misdemeanor charges including resisting a public officer, reckless driving to endanger, failing to heed a light or siren, hit and run involving property damage, failure to maintain lane control, failing to stop at a stop sign or flashing red light, failing to wear a seat belt, and possessing an open container of alcohol after consumption.

Wilburn is scheduled to appear in Burke County District Court on August 24.
