19-year old Jancovien Daquion Peterson of Lincolnton was arrested Tuesday (November 24) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony statutory rape of a child age 15 or younger. Deputies took Peterson into custody Tuesday afternoon. Following the arrest, he was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled for next Monday (November 30).
