35-year-old Albert William Smith of Maiden Highway in Lincolnton was arrested Wednesday (April 12) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He was charged with one count felony obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor failure to work after being paid. Smith remains in jail as of this morning a $30,000 secured bond and a District Court date scheduled for April 13.
