A Lincoln County woman has been charged after detectives concluded an investigation involving a false report made to law enforcement.

According to a news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, detectives completed the investigation on May 18. As a result of the investigation, Clara Depasquale was arrested and charged with filing a false report to law enforcement.

Authorities say Depasquale received a $10,000 secured bond and was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is reminding the public that knowingly providing false information to law enforcement is a criminal offense and can divert resources away from legitimate emergencies and investigations.
