19-year-old William Mark McGinnis of Iron Station was transferred from Caldwell County to the Alexander County Detention Center. He’s charged in Alexander with five felony counts of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle and one misdemeanor count of larceny. McGinnis is charged with assault by pointing a gun in Caldwell County.

The Alexander County charges date back to October, 2021. McGinnis remained in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today (March 2) under a secured bond of just under $60,000. A Superior Court date is scheduled for March 20 in Taylorsville.
