Lincoln County Officers Help Save Man from Drowning

Sunday (May 26), Officers with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Lake Patrol were on Lake Norman near Lakeshore Road South when they took a call regarding a possible drowning.

Officers arrived on the scene and found a female attempting to hold the head of the 39-year-old victim above the water. Deputies docked their vessel and ran to assist the man and woman in the lake. Officers were able to place a life vest on the victim and lift him from the water onto the dock. They walked the man to a nearby table where Lincoln County E.M.S. and Denver Fire provided medical care. The victim was transported to Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center for treatment.
