Lincoln County Man Charged With Fleeing From Police In Catawba County
36-year-old David Zakari Glode of Otis Dellinger Road in Lincolnton was arrested Wednesday (February 22) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle. Glode is also charged with reckless driving to endanger, failure to stop for a stop sign or flashing red light, failure to wear a seatbelt, and no operators license. Glode is also charged with six counts of failure to appear on counts including felony probation violation and possession of methamphetamine.
Glode is on probation as a result of convictions in April and June of 2022. In April, he was convicted in Lincoln County and in June the conviction occurred in Catawba County. In both cases the charge was felony possession of schedule II controlled substance. He received probation and a suspended sentence in both cases, 30 months in Lincoln County and 24 months in Catawba. Following Wednesday’s arrest, Glode was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $24,700 bond. He’s scheduled to appear in District and Superior Court March 17.
