HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) – A 51-year-old Lincolnton man was arrested Friday, July 31, following an investigation by the Hickory Police Department.

According to arrest records, William Christopher Goins, of Hatchett Road in Lincolnton, was charged with driving while impaired, larceny by anti-inventory device, shoplifting by concealment of goods, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving left of center, driving while license revoked (not impaired revocation), reckless driving to endanger, and parole violation.

Goins was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a combined $16,500 secured bond on the criminal charges. He was also being held for a parole violation. His next appearance in Newton District Court is scheduled Monday (August 3).
