36-year-old Joshua David Grigg of Mount Zion Church Road has been arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Grigg was arrested after one person was shot in the foot during an altercation on the 2,100 block of Mount Zion Church Road in Lincoln County. At about 8 p.m. yesterday (May 21), Deputies responded to an incident in which individuals were reportedly in the roadway firing weapons at each other. When Officers arrived, they saw two men standing in the roadway yelling at an individual in the carport at a nearby home.

One of the men in the roadway told Officers he had been shot in the foot by the man at the residence, who was identified as Joshua David Grigg. Lincoln County E.M.S. responded and treated the victim’s wound.

Grigg was arrested and charged. He was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond. No court date is currently listed.

No other charges were filed.
