Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Golf Finish Tied for Eighth at Cateechee Fall Invitational
The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Golf Team finished in a tie for 8th place this week at the Cateechee Fall Invitational hosted by Lander University. Sam Mace finished in 6th place after a two under par 69 on the final day.
The Bears tied the host Lander and SAC foe Limestone with a 855 team total despite Sean Finan having to withdrawal on the final day. Finan shot a 70 (-1) in the first round. North Georgia won the team title with a -37 team score winning by 15 strokes over Lincoln Memorial.
Matthew McDougall finished in a tie for 34th place with 71, 72 and 71 on the week while Mads Emil Boas came in 59th place five shots behind McDougall. Holt Allison finished in 73rd place with a +8 for the tournament.
Bears will now have a few weeks off before their last tournament of the fall as LR will host the SAC preview from Lake Hickory Country Club on October 23nd and 24th.
