Hickory Police are investigating a robbery with a handgun that happened last night in Hickory. The incident occurred at about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot at Pelican’s Snoballs on Highway 321 N.W.

The victim is a 22-year-old female from Lenoir. According to H.P.D.’s incident report, she sustained an unspecified “major injury.” A blue, 2019 Honda Civic LX valued at $21,000 was stolen and later recovered. The victim was reportedly hospitalized.

No suspect information has been released at this time and no update on the victim’s condition is available.
