37-year-old Melissa Ann Abernathy of Pleasant Hill Road in Lenoir was arrested Saturday (January 7) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. She was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and was given a custody release. Abernathy was not listed in jail as of this morning with a Superior Court date scheduled for February 27.
