Lenoir-Rhyne Swimming Earns Academic All-American Team Honors

The Lenoir-Rhyne Swimming programs continue showcasing their success outside of the pool, as both the Men’s and Women’s Teams have been selected as College Swimming and Diving Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams.

To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 during the Spring 2024 semester.

“I am deeply honored and humbled by the consistent achievements of both the men’s and women’s teams,” stated Head Coach Sean Weddell. “All credit goes to both teams for their pursuit of excellence in both the classroom and the pool. They truly embody our BEAR core values at Lenoir-Rhyne!”

The women posted a team GPA of 3.73, good for a tie for eighth highest in DII, while the men also tied for eighth, posting a 3.51 GPA. This marks the 14th straight spring the women have qualified for the Scholar All-America Team, while this is the men’s team’s fifth consecutive selection.
