The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Football Players of the Week for games played during week three of the 2023 season. Lenoir-Rhyne return man DeAree Rogers picked up Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Rogers, a freshman from Lexington, S.C., broke two program records in the Bears’ 62-0 win over Erskine, while tying another record. Rogers returned two punts for touchdowns, tying the record for most punt returns for touchdowns in a single game. He broke the record for most punt return yards in a single game with 170 and he broke the record for most punt returns for touchdowns in a single season, having returned three punts for touchdowns in his first three games of the season. Rogers averaged 34 yards per return in the win.
