Graduate student Megan Robb has been selected to compete in the Southeast Regional of the 2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship as announced by the DII Women’s Golf Committee. Robb is one of six individuals from the region selected to compete in the regional which will be conducted May 2-4.
Robb is the third individual to make the field from LR in the past five years as Abbey Hartsell went in both 2017 and 2019. The Bears qualified as a team in 2018 courtesy of winning the SAC Tournament so the Bears have been involved in the postseason in four out of the past five tournaments (the tournament was canceled in 2020).
Robb grabbed her first career individual championship at the Lander Bearcat Invitational on March 28 and was the only player in the 116-player field to finish under par at that tournament. She also garnered a second-place finish at the Low Tide Intercollegiate with a score of 214 and had 12 rounds of 75 or better on the year. Robb ranked as high as 54th in the nation and was a Second Team All-Conference selection this year.
