Lenoir-Rhyne’s Mardigian Named First Team All-American

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association named their 2024 Softball Division II All-Americans this afternoon and Julia Mardigian was honored as a First-Team NFCA All-American this season. Mardigian is the 9th player in program history to be selected as All-American.

Mardigian is the first First-Team selection since the 2010 season when Sarah Atkins and Kat Rivers were selected as First-Team NFCA All-Americans. Mardigian has re-wrote the record books this season as Mardigian broke the program record in hits, doubles, and RBIs this season. Mardigian also leads the nation in hits this year as Mardigian has 104 hits while hitting .424 on the season.

This is the fourth year in a row the Bears have had a player win All-American honors.
