Lenoir-Rhyne’s Hilliard Wins South Atlantic Conference Track Athlete of the Week Award

The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the third week of the outdoor track & field season. Lenoir-Rhyne’s Caroline Hilliard earned the track honor and Anderson’s Regan Appleby earned the field honor.

Hilliard, a senior from Catawba, N.C., and a Bunker Hill grad, took first place in the 10,000 meter run at the Vertklasse Meeting at High Point with a new personal best of 36:30.23 currently ranking her 19th nationally in Division II. This is Hilliard’s first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season. She wins the first athlete of the week award for the Bears during this outdoor track and field season.
