Despite a strong shooting second half, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team could not catch up…

Lenoir-Rhyne’s Fleig, Parkinson Advance to NCAA Championships
Sabrina Fleig advances to the NCAA Championship on November 18th in Joplin, MO. as she finished fifth in the NCAA Southeast Regional Saturday morning hosted by North Georgia University. The Bears finished 4th as a team as LR had a team total of 143.
Fleig qualified for her first NCAA Championships as the sophomore finishes with a time of 21.39.6. Fleig also earned all-region honors as well. Paige Ewald joined Fleig on the all-region team as Ewald finished in 24th place with a time of 22:46.4.
Carolin Fuehren finished in 28th place with a time of 22:58.4 and Eliska Rihova was just five seconds behind Fuehren in 36th place. Elizabeth Kessler (54th place), Lina Gerlach (67th place) and Olivia Overholt (85th place) finished out the Bears team.
The 6K race was held at the University of North Georgia cross country course in Oakwood, Ga as LR improved on their fifth place finish from a season ago.
For the men, Jacob Parkinson advances to the NCAA Championship on November 18th in Joplin, MO after he finished in 13th place at NCAA Southeast Regional in Oakwood, Ga.on Saturday morning. The Bears finished 9th as a team in today’s event.
As well as earning a bid in the NCAA Championship, Parkinson also earned all-region honors joining him was teammate Lewis Budgen. Budgen finished in 18th place with a time of 30:26.1.
After the duo of Parkinson and Budgen, the next Bear to finish was Harrison Hickman in 97th place. Isaac Riggs (103th), Garrison Fisher (111th), Leon Fisher (114th) and Bastian Luthmann (162nd) rounded out the Bears team in the 10k race at the North Georgia Cross Country Course in Oakwood, Ga.
