Lenoir-Rhyne’s Colley Earns Spot in NCAA Regionals

Lenoir-Rhyne women’s golf freshman sensation Charlotte Colley earned a spot in the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Regionals. Colley will compete as an individual in the championship. The NCAA Division II women’s golf regional competition will be conducted May 6-8. Each site will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently. All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top three (central), five (south), five (west) and five (east) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.

The South Regional will be hosted by Lee University at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The NCAA Championships will be held May 21-25 at Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando, Florida. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 98.

This season, Colley finished tied for 24th with a +19 at the South Atlantic Conference Championship. She was named the conference’s freshman of the year and earned second-team all conference honors. At one point in the spring season, she finished in the top five in five straight events, with a high of second at the Battle of Hilton Head.
