Lenoir-Rhyne’s Boernigen Competes at Fourth Straight Nationals
This week, Lisa Boernigen completed in her fourth straight NCAA Championship as the senior from Munchen, Germany completed in three events this past week in Indianapolis, Indiana. Boernigen is the first Lenoir-Rhyne Women swimmer to qualify for the NCAA Championship in four straight seasons.
On day two, Boernigen raced in the 200 IM and finished in 24th place with a time of 2:05.36. After a day break, Boerngien came back on day four and finished 41st in the 100 Free with a time of 51.92. On the final day, Boernigen finished the championship with a time of 2:05.81 as Boernigen finished 27th in the 200 Fly.
Boernigen did earn All-American honors in 2021 in the 200 IM in Birmingham, Alabama
