Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Golf Wins Patsy Rendleman Invitational

Lenoir-Rhyne women’s golf won the Patsy Rendleman Invitational at the Salisbury Country Club by two shots over UNC Pembroke, and Beatriz Espelosin won the individual championship by two shots with a two-round score of 149. LR finished on top of a field of 11 teams, and Espelosin was the top player in the 57-player field. This is the first championship of the 2022-23 season for LR in just the second event of the year, and Espelosin’s first individual title of her career.

Marta Cervero also finished in the top-10, tying for 6th with a 155. Following up the two leaders was Marta Escudero, who tied for 12th after firing a two-round score of 156. Patricia Asensio finished tied for 22nd with a 161, and Amelia Rae Greenlee tied for 35th with a 164.

The Bears are back in action next week at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial tournament in Dahlnoega, Ga. That events starts next Monday (10/10) at 8 a.m.
