The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s and Men’s swimming team were selected to finish in third place in the first ever SAC Swimming Preseason Poll. The 2022-23 season is the first ever for the SAC to include swimming. The Bears will be joined by Wingate, Carson-Newman, Catawba, Mars Hill and Emory & Henry. Before this season, the Bears completed in the Bluegrass Mountain Conference for swimming.

The Women’s had 17 points and finished behind Wingate and Carson-Newman. The Bulldogs gained four first place votes while the Eagles gathered the other two. The Men also came in with 17 points for their third place selection. Wingate gained five of the six first place votes while Carson-Newman had a lone vote for their second place selection.

Both teams opened their season with victories at the Guilford Invite and both will return to the pool this Friday as they host Mars Hill inside Shuford Pool.
