Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Sweeps UVa-Wise

On a Saturday afternoon inside Shuford Gymnasium, the Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team swept UVA Wise, winning 25-16, 25-13 and 25-16 to get back to .500 on the season.

The Bears hit .320 as a team and held the Cavaliers to just an .014 hitting percentage. LR held a 44-16 advantage in kills and a 10-3 edge in aces.

Taylor Walton led a balanced attack with 10 kills and Colette Romp added nine.

Braelyn Faust finished with eight kills on the afternoon. Faust entered the contest fifth in the SAC with 1.1 block per set

Rachel Delcamp had four service aces.

Nine different players recorded at least one kill for the Bears. UVA Wise was led by Madelyn Lawrence and Cassidy Farley who each had four kills

The Bears move to 5-0 all time against against the Cavaliers. The Bears have only lost one set in the 5 games.

LR has played three of four at home to start the season. L-R will conclude with four of six on the road to end the regular season.

Rachel Bewick entered the game with 44 digs, third in the SAC. She had eight in this contest.

The Bears are 2-2 overall and in the South Atlantic Conference. The Bears will travel to Newberry on Wednesday at 7pm.
