Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Garners Four to Postseason All-Conference Honors

Emmaleigh Allen has been named South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year and three were named All-Conference as announced by the league. Colette Romp, Ashley Hawkins and Emma Clark were all named Second Team All-SAC.

Allen becomes the fourth player in LR history to earn league Freshman of the Year honors and the first since Taylor Prall in 2017. Allen finished second on the team with 263 kills and 2.80 kills per set and added 28 service aces, 31 blocks and 248 digs. In total, Allen had seven double-doubles in her rookie season and was named the league’s player of the week once.

Romp finished with 250 kills and hit .257 on the season thanks in part to a record-breaking performance where she hit .706 against Catawba. Romp also earned SAC player of the week accolades and is on the All-Conference squad for the first time in her career.

Hawkins led the Bears with 275 kills and 2.89 kills per set on the season and also paces the Bears with 49 service aces. Defensively, Hawkins was second on the team with 297 digs and recorded 11 double-doubles.

Clark led the Bears with a .367 hitting percentage and added 143 kills in her 20 matches played. Clark added 70 total blocks on the year and had a season-high 13 kills against Tusculum
