Lenoir-Rhyne Track and Field Teams Also Compete at Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-Off

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Teams concluded their opening weekend of indoor season at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-Off.

The best result of the event for LR came in the women’s 800-meter race, which Carolin Fuehren won with a time of 2:15.23. The freshman was joined alongside Olivia Overholt for Top 10 finishers with a ninth-place time of 2:28.03.

In the men’s shot put, Josh Wise recorded a seventh-place result with a toss of 14.51 meters. With that throw, it marks a new personal best for the senior in his first event of the season.

For the women’s field, Olivia Jackson notched two Top 20 finishes in the weight throw and shot put. The senior recorded a 14.90-meter toss in the weight throw, which was good enough for 11th overall, while throwing for 11.27 meters in the shot put, which placed her at 20th on the leaderboard.
