Lenoir-Rhyne Swimming Picks Up Event Wins at Double Dual Meet

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Swimming Team traveled to Catawba on Friday night to swim in a double dual meet with the host Indians and No. 8 Wingate. Micah McRea won two events for the Bears while Levi McRea won the 500 Free on the night.

The Bears 200 Medley relay team finished second with a time of 1:36.08. The team was consisted of Nathan McCormick, Mitch McRea, Renato Herran, Christopher Glebus. The foursome also finished second in the 200 Free relay at the end of the night finishing two seconds behind the Bulldog team.

Freshman Levi McRea won the 500 Free by almost five seconds, McRea also finished third earlier in the night in the 1000 Free. Micah McRea took home wins in the 100 Free and the 200 Free. McRea sprinted out to early lead in the 100 Free with a time of 22.91 on the first lap before finishing with a time of 47.25, almost a second ahead of the runner-up.

Lenoir-Rhyne will host Catawba and Lees-McRea inside Shuford Pool on November 5th.
