Lenoir-Rhyne Sweeps South Atlantic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week Awards

The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men’s Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the seventh weekend of the 2021 season. Lenoir-Rhyne swept both awards with Eric Dickinson garnering the offensive honor and teammate Victor Powell collecting the defensive honor.

A senior attacker Dickinson, helped the Bears to a 2-0 conference record this past week. He tallied three points on three goals, while also adding one ground ball in their 22-8 win over Anderson. Dickinson went on to score eight points on four goals, three ground balls and one caused turnover in a 15-7 win over Queens. Overall, the Charlotte, N.C., native garnered 11 points on seven goals while also picking up four ground balls and one caused turnover. This is Dickinson’s first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

A freshman defender Powell, was instrumental in securing the Bears two wins over conference opponents No. 12 Queens and Anderson this past weekend. Overall, The Chesapeake Beach, Va., native tallied five caused turnovers, four ground balls and one assist. This is Powell’s first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
