The South Atlantic Conference announced its Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in the seventh week of the season. Lenoir-Rhyne’s Jacob Parkinson was named this week’s SAC runner of the week.
This is Parkinson’s second SAC runner of the week award of the season. The sophomore from Lincoln, United Kingdom won the award after his first place finish in the Queen City Invite on September 23rd. This week Parkinson took home first place in the JWU Wildcat Classic on Friday evening in Charlotte. Parkinson had his best time of the season and the third fastest in program history with a time of 24:53.0. Parkinson’s performance helped the Bears finished second as a team only behind Appalachian State.
Parkinson and the rest of the Bears are now preparing for the SAC Championship on November 5th.
