Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Tennis Loses to 6th Ranked Lander

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Tennis fell to No. 6 Lander 7-0 on the road Sunday afternoon.

The match started with doubles, where LR started off hot with Rhodri Atkinson and Josh Lazenby defeating Rossin/Ranger 6-1. The Bears would then lose two straight doubles matches which would give Lander the doubles point 1-0.

On the singles side, Mauricio Hernandez lost 6–4, 6-0 against Erler to put Lander up 2-0. Lander would then win two straight matches to secure the win at 4-0. Atkinson battled in a back and forth No.1 singles match Tattevine falling 6-1, 2-6, 3-6.

The Bears will be back in action Thursday February 25 against Mars Hill at home.
