Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Soccer Jumps to 7th in National Rankings

After a 2-0-1 start to the 2022 season with a win over No. 11 Young Harris and a draw with No. 3 Nova Southeastern, Lenoir-Rhyne men’s soccer jumped all the way into the Top-10 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches (USC) poll. The Bears are ranked No. 7 this week coming off a 1-0-1 trip to the state of Florida, where they tied with Nova Southeastern 2-2 and shut out Barry 2-0. LR made the second highest jump in the poll behind Mercyhurst, who went from unranked to No. 4.

The Bears are the only South Atlantic Conference team ranked in this week’s poll. LR will continue this long stretch away from home with two games in the state of Tennessee this week, starting on Wednesday at Lincoln Memorial. Kickoff against the Railsplitters is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Harrogate, Tennessee.
