Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Cross Country Finish 11th at Regionals

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Cross Country completed at the 2022 NCAA Southeast Regionals on the campus of Wingate University on Saturday morning. The Bears finished in 11th place in the twenty-one team event. Jacob Parkinson cross the finish line in 23th place to lead the Bears in his first NCAA regionals.

Parkinson finished his 10K race in 32:13.40 while Lewis Budgen finished in 33th place with a time of 32.37.19. NCAA Regionals is the first time race that is 10K distance of the year. Harrison Hickman (34:58.11), Eli Riggs (35:04.38) and Noah Julian (35:06.59) rounded out the scoring for the Bears.

Bears finished with 297 points to finish in 11th, just four points shy of 10th place Lees-McRae as Wingate takes home the championship with 26 points.
