The Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team has announced its 2023 schedule. The Bears will play five home games in the 2023 regular season, with one non-conference game followed by four games against SAC opposition.

LR opens with St. Augustine’s at home between the bricks on Saturday, Sept. 2. The two programs have only met one time prior back on Sept. 7, 2019, when the Bears defeated the Falcons, 68-7.

Then, in their first road matchup of the season, LR will travel to Fayetteville State on Saturday, Sept. 9, for the first recorded meeting between the two schools.

In conference play, LR will host Erskine (Sept. 16), UVA-Wise (Sept. 30), Barton (Oct. 14), and Catawba (Nov. 4). Meanwhile, the Bears will travel to take on Carson-Newman (Sept. 23), Limestone (Oct. 7), Newberry (Oct. 21), Wingate (Oct. 28), and Tusculum (Nov. 11) in SAC play this year.
