Sal Carricato earned first team all-region by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and moves to the All-American ballot.

Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Garners All-Region Accolades
Both the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Region selections were announced by their respective organizations and Lenoir-Rhyne’s Blake Bean and Sal Carricato earned All-Region accolades. Bean was a First Team on the NCBWA list and a Second Teamer as voted on by the D2CCA while Carricato was a Second Team selection by both outlets.
Bean finished the year with a .358 average and his 17 HR on the season were the second-most in a single-season in program history. Bean drove in 54 runs and led LR with 61 runs scored while getting on base at a .468 clip and slugging .711. Bean alsol went 12-for-16 in stolen bases and walked 32 times to just 26 strikeouts.
Carricato led the Bears with a .369 batting average and posted a 1.137 OPS in his 44 games played. Carricato had 11 HR and 14 doubles to go with 41 RBI. He had a pair of 5-hit games to his ledger and slugged .682 with a .455 on base percentage.
With his First Team selection by the NCBWA, Carricato moves on to the All-American ballot.
