For the first time in program history, the Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team has broken into the Top 10 of the NCBWA Division II Top 25 Poll with its No. 7 ranking; surpassing its previous high of the No. 11 spot.
After starting the season with a 2-2 record, the Bears have won 20 of their last 23 games and now sit with a 22-5 overall record, the 11th best winning percentage in Division II.
The Bears are currently on their longest winning streak this season with nine consecutive wins including a 6-0 start to conference play.
In addition to the success in the win-loss column, the LR offense has looked the strongest all season with scoring at least 10+ runs in eight straight games.
