Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics Holds Cumulative 3.35 Grade Point Average in Spring Semester

Lenoir-Rhyne student-athletes not only had an exceptional spring in competition, they also had yet another impressive showing in the classroom. The Bears ended the spring semester with a cumulative 3.35 department GPA with every team finishing above a combined 3.0 GPA.

“Our student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom as demonstrated by every team posting a 3.0 average team GPA or higher,” said Vice President for Athletics, Kim Pate. “This is a remarkable accomplishment and speaks to the commitment on behalf of our coaches to prioritizing academic success. Our student-athletes embody all around excellence and compete to be their best in the classroom, in their respective sport, and through service to our community.”

488 student-athletes, approximately 75%, earned a 3.0 GPA during the spring semester with 99 student-athletes finishing with a perfect 4.0. This academic performance comes on the heels of a fall semester which also saw every varsity team accomplish at least a 3,0 GPA.
