Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics Have 325 Student-Athletes Named to SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll

The South Atlantic Conference announced on Friday that a record 3,560 student-athletes, spanning each of the Conference’s 13 member institutions, were named to the 2023-24 SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Lenoir-Rhyne placed 325 individuals on this list, with at least one student-athlete coming from all 23 of Lenoir-Rhyne’s SAC sponsored sports.

To be eligible for inclusion on the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, student-athletes must have competed in a sponsored championship sport and maintained a GPA of 3.30 or higher throughout the academic year.

“We are honored to recognize a record number of our student-athletes for their outstanding academic accomplishments,” said SAC Commissioner Patrick Britz. “This is the fourth consecutive year that we have had more than 2,000 student-athletes be recognized for their outstanding achievements in the classroom, which is a testament to the high priority our member institutions continue to place on academic success. On behalf of the entire South Atlantic Conference, I want to express how extremely proud we are of the hard work and dedication these student-athletes put in the classroom and in their athletic arena.”

Among the Lenoir-Rhyne honorees were seven SAC Athletes/Freshman of the Year:

Bamidele Ajayi, Men’s Indoor Track & Field | Freshman of the Year
Charlotte Colley, Women’s Golf | Freshman of the Year
Elin Hansson, Women’s Soccer | Offensive Player of the Year
Runa Muderrisoglu, Women’s Tennis | Freshman of the Year
Victor Powell, Men’s Lacrosse | Defensive Player of the Year
Victoria Aransiola, Women’s Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field | Freshman of the Year
