31-year-old William Michael Phillips of Wendwood Drive in Lenoir was arrested Monday (July 31) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He was charged with eight felonies: failure to appear on a felony count, larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen motor vehicle, two felony counts obtaining property by false pretense, altering a forged title, larceny, and possession of stolen property.

In addition, Phillips was charged with a misdemeanor count failure to appear and jailed under $72,000 secured bond. He remains in jail as of this morning with a District Court date scheduled for August 2.
