23-year-old Marcus Allen Whisnant of Bee Mountain Road in Lenoir was arrested by Caldwell Co. Sheriff’s Officers yesterday (January 6) for felonious restraint, felony larceny, and a probation violation. Whisnant is on probation as he serves a 48-month suspended sentence following an October 2020 conviction in Caldwell County for possession of stolen goods and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Whisnant was jailed in the Caldwell Co. Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Lenoir.
